Review: Widow Clicquot
Widow Clicquot could’ve been a cheeky acknowledgment of how women with dreams of success for themselves must often rely on their proximity to powerful men to realize their ambitions. It could’ve been a kind of living connection to the likes of Sofia Coppola, with her famous filmmaker parents, and Kathryn Bigelow, whose former surname Cameron still comes up in Google searches (nevermind that she hasn’t been married to fellow director James Cameron since 1991, and that they divorced after a mere two years).
